Living as we do in the middle of the city we love to get out into the countryside at the weekend. Last weekend being a long weekend, Monday was a public holiday, I decided last week that we needed a full weekend in the country walking and relaxing.
We have been to Connemara twice before and have good memories of each visit, however my memory of specific places is not so good. I saw a hostel and booked us in without asking Anna. Her memory is so much better than mine for the stuff we don’t like – I seem to work on an erase it all basis.
We stayed in a little town called Letterfrack. I had forgotten that we had stopped their before to eat one day and that was not a pleasent experience. I hate saying this but I don’t recommend it at all. The hostel we stayed in is the same, it was fine but over priced for what you get – especially when the adverts for it say luxury – it isn’t.
This photo though is one of the magnificent views you will be treated to nearby on the coast. The photos from this weekend are not so great as it rained quite a bit.
