    Smile Accomodation

Hi, I will walk a small section of the camino over Easter and I will do it backwards - will start from Santiago de Compostela and probably go as far as Cebreiro as I only have 5 days available.

This means I will not be entitled to sleep in hostels (as I will not receive a passport). I was wondering if it is adviseble to book some hotel accommodation in advance and if you know some places along the way.

I would very much appreciate your help.

    Thanks

I know I always tell people that it is your Camino and you should do it your way, but your plan is very strange to say the least.

The Camino routes in Spain are geared to take the Pilgrim by stages to the tomb of St James in Santiago Cathedral. I have met Pilgrims who are walking back to their start point having completed their Camino to Santiago (or to Finesterre). They can use the albergues by presenting their Pilgrim Passport and the reverse route is marked with BLUE arrows.

Your camino seems to be merely a walking holiday without the ultimate goal which has guided the footsteps of Pilgrims for hundreds of years. I would suggest you consult a travel agent who sells holidays in Spain.
