I will be doing the camino at the end of August this year and am deciding between 2 weeks on the Norte route, but I have been told that it is very difficult for a first time walker. Then I started reading about the Primitivo route and the stages are less kilometres and I think it may be better for me. I want to avoid a lot of people(if it will be at all possible) this year. Can someone please tell me their experience of the Norte Route and if I start in Oviendo, is there a place I can get my pilgrim's passport from? Please tell me details about alburgues, ones to avoid, and any hints.
