weather in oct-nov
I noticed many posts by people who walked the Camino in October 2009. My husband and I are planning to start in Pamplona October 2010. Can you tell me (1) how did you find the weather? (2) did you have any trouble finding open albergues? and (3) how do we prepare for rain/cold?

Re: weather in oct-nov
Ive walked the Camino twice during these months, on both occasions the weather has been fine. Admittedly it can be changeable and a good chance of getting days of poor weather however I've found it ideal for walking when its dry. The most important piece of kit I'd suggest is a rucksack cover which you can pick up quite cheaply. Aside from this then the usual of waterproofs etc will be fine.
As for Albergues, I've never had a problem. There are plenty of places open and I'd imagine more than ever will be open in Oct/Nov this year.
