Like most people, this is a journey of a lifetime. Friends want to follow my journey and keep up on the adventure. I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge on this subject, that is did you bring a notebook, is wifi avaiable if you did, not really thrilled about carrying that extra weight so is internet access available along the way to do this.

Virtually all albergues have at least one internet connected PC so you can update your friends.

Virtually all albergues charge for using the internet and it will cost you around ?2 for a short session.

Free wifi is rare on the Camino Frances, so don't plan on using it!!

A small digital camera and some memory cards are a good idea, but uploading photo's along the way is not easy.

Thanks for the info, that's what I was feeling regarding the wifi, I guess in some ways it's good that the Camino doesn't have that yet.
