Bus Lugo to Sarria

Hi,

I will be walking from Sarria to Santiago on the 6th June 2010. I am finding it extremely difficult to get accommodation in either Sarria or Lugo - any suggestions??, some of the hotels are extremely expensive. Also if I stay in Lugo is there a regular bus service between Lugo and Sarria on a Sunday morning and where can I get a timetable? Would appreciate and advice.

Sundays in Northern Spain are difficult because as a generality, the shops are shut and the local bus services do not run. The bus service from Lugo to Sarria is run by a small local company and I have never been able to find a published timetable on the internet. They may or may not run on a Sunday. The main coach companies from Santiago such as Empresa who do the Santiago - Airport - Lugo run, and ALSA who go everywhere, run a reduced service on Sundays.

The Sarria service goes from the main Lugo Bus Station which is just outside the city wall and the bus service usually departs after the Santiago - Lugo service arrives.
