Santiago to Sarria?
Has anyone travelled from santiago airport to Sarria? I know that a taxi would probably be the easiest option, but it could be expensive.
If there is a bus service, does it leave from the airport or would I have to go into Santiago and then get the bus from there?
One further question, I have already walked from SJPP to Estella, would that distance be taken into consideratiion for the issuing of the Compostela if I couldn't manage the entire walk from Sarria to Santiago?

Bus from Aiport to Lugo www.castromil.com, then Lugo to Sarria www.monbus.com
Not every service to Lugo from Santiago calls at the Airport so at certain times during the day you can get the Ryan Air Bus to Santiago Bus Station where you have more choice. Only one direct service Santiago to Sarria per day, leaves at I believe 18.15 Monday to Friday and does not operate at weekends.
I think the Pilgrims Office insist on you walking at least all of the final 100Kms and collecting 2 stamps per day, I may be wrong but that was what I was given to believe.
I completed that portion of the Camino earlier this year in the company of a fantastic German called Heinrich,he is 78 years old and started his Camino 10 years ago in his home town of Munster and had walked stages every year since.
I am sure you can complete this part of the Camino, you dont have to be a super fit athlete to do it,just be prepared properly and have the right mindset, you wont have a problem.
I am now planning for the Camino Ingles from Ferrol and hope to start in October, after the summer heat. As I live in Spain and have retired I am lucky to be able to choose my stages of the Camino and the times I will do them.

If you have the book of stamps you got the first time you did the camino, just keep adding the stamps from this trip to the same book. Lots of people do the trip in segments, and I don't think it's a problem at all if you can show that you've done it at some point.

As long as you walk the last 100 km and have at least one stamp for each day it is good for the compostela.
