Default Municipal hostels in Logroņo and Pamplone

The newsletter Boletin JACOBEO.NET is reporting an article on the rioja2.com website saying that the main pilgrim hostel in Logroņo will close from now until May 2011 in order to save operating costs. The municipal authorities, who recently took over control of the hostel from the Association of Friends of the Camino, say that this is justified due to the low level of demand during the winter.

They are also reporting that the municipal hostel in Pamplona is to close for the winter. However at this moment we have no confirmation of this.

Thankfully both cities have more than one pilgrim hostel.

Curious! Opening again in May 2011 seems quite late in the year, especially as the Refugio Revellin in Logrono is also shown as being closed for the winter and open from March to October.
