Hi everyone,

Assuming you are walking the Camino Frances from St Jean, you can expect very nice weather, the odd days rain and warm temperatures.
Thank you , and yes I will be starting from St, Jean. I have been finding a lot of info on line but always nice to get info from someone who has been there. Thank you again Covey.
I have done three September starts from St Jean and the weather has always been good along the way, although when you get into Galecia in early October, it can rain quite a bit.
You get to St Jean by the local train from Bayonne and the nearest airport is Bairritz. There are flights from London Gatwick and Stansted to Bairritz although the Easyjet Gatwick flights usually stop at the end of the first week in September. The Ryanair flights from Stansted are daily all year. There are internal flights from Paris to Bairritz and you can catch the TGV overnight train from Paris to Bayonne.
Try to have a couple of days off before you start walking to allow the jet lag to wear off.
thank you again, the information re. trains was also helpfull.
