Landing Barajas airport Madrid. Schedule and cost for bus to Leon?

Why take a bus? The trains in Spain are pretty good and getting from Barajas to León is pretty easy. Go to the Renfe website and type in Madrid Chamartin and Leon for your date. You'll see that the average April date has several train options. FYI you can take a subway from the airport to Chamartin station. Here's a map Detailed Madrid Metro Map . The buses take about 4 hrs 45 minutes, while the trains take about an hour less. Cost depends on your schedule and choice. If you must take a bus, look at the www.alsa.es site for details. Hi, also doing April...and taking the train to Leon. How much time should I allow for between landing and getting on the train. I know its not far from the airport to the station, but don't want to cut it too fine...

I'd want a minimum of an hour after landing to get out of customs and passport control, then an hour to get the subway connection. Buen camino!
