Accommodation help!
Hi,
Three of us are walking from Triacastela to SDC starting 18TH April. I've been advised that because this is Holy Week there will be a severe shortage of accommodation and we'd need to book in advance. Any opinions on this? We are fast walkers so think we'd get to destinations early enough if needed. But, just in case, where could we get a list of cheap hotel/guesthouse type accommodation. We'd especially like this info for Triacastella as we'd like to have somewhere booked for the first night.
Also we arrive in SCD before 10.00pm on the 17th April. Would it be safe enough for three girls to get a taxi back there that night? How much shoul that cost?
Appreciate any info.

Re: Accommodation help!
I don't know how severe the crowding will be during Holy Week, but I walked last summer during the Holy Year and the last 100 km was crowded but overly so, only once did I not get into the alburgue of my choice, but the municipal one was wide open. You can make reservations at the private alburgues and know that you'll have a place to stay. Here is a link to some of the alburgues, http://redalberguessantiago.com/index.html. Not sure if there is an english language site. I don't know if a taxi that late at night would be a problem but I do know you won't be able to get into an alburgue that late since they all lock their doors for the night at about 10PM. You may need to make a reservation at a hotel for your first night.
