Heading off!
Last day of work today - no more school until 3rd May! Heading off early tomorrow morning for Burgos via Paris and the night train. Start walking on Sunday - can't wait. Hope the knees and achilles will do the business. After a bad fall 3 months ago and much physio and ultrasound treatment, am feeling somewhat confident that I will be able to do most of what I want to. The first aid kit is a bit larger this year what with cool packs, knee support etc! Wish me luck!

Re: Heading off!
Just start off real slow and keep the initial distances down to help heal and acclimate.
We envy you your Camino.
Buen Camino!

Re: Heading off!
Hi everyone!
Am in Boadilla tonight - a fantastic alberque, very friendly, clean and warm En El Camino. Achilles and knees are doing fine - its the blisters that are causing the problems! But am coping with them fine and loving every minute of it! Hope those of you about to set off will have as good a time as me.

Re: Heading off!
Home again! Last stretch of my Camino done - Credencial, photos, guide book and other mementos about to be put in a box for future archaeological members of my family! After 3 years of great service, I gave my boots to the Alberque in Astorga! Back at work now and envying those of you about to head off. Good luck Joe, only 8 days to go - Ultreya!
