    Default Astorga to Sarria

    Hi,

I am planing to walk parts of the El Camino during early August, beginning inSt Jean and walking to Pamplona then catching the train to Leon and walking to Astorga. I would like to then get to Sarria somehow to walk the last 112km into Compostella. Does anyone know if there is a train or bus between Astorga and Sarria??

    thanks,

    leah

    Hi Leah ~
Yes, you can catch the train from Astorga to Sarria. This is the Leon/Lugo line and there are typically 3 departures per day. It's about a 3 hour trip. When you use the Renfe site you won't find either Astorga or Sarria listed unless you press "Ver todas las estaciones" (see all the stations). Renfe is one of the clunkiest train websites you'll ever find.

You can also take the Alsa bus www.alsa.es but it takes a couple of hours longer because of a connection in Lugo.

    Buen camino ~
