Camino from Lepuy to Santiago

Seeking any and all info and advice from those who have done this route. I'm leaving in mid Sept and freaking out just a bit about so many unknowns. Thank you to those of you that have responded back so far .. the info has been helpful and some what reassuring for me. Please HELP!!!! with any advice you may have about the food and lodging on the French section. I also would like to do this on the cheap and not have to do the Hotel thing if at all possible.
