april , good date ?

Thinking of finishing my Camino in April from Leon to finistarre has anyone one walked it on this month ? does anyone know what the weather is like ?

Hi Paul,

I walked in April 2009 and the weather was very mixed. I got snow, lots of sleet and cold rain. The trail is very difficult to walk when you are picking up mud with every step. I would suggest you leave it until late April when the weather improves a bit. Bring good wet gear and warm layers. Bring a hat and warm gloves. Other than that, it is one step after another.
