Default Any ways to transport bags each day?

My wife and I are interested in walking the entire route, but she has an issue with her back. She can walk/hike without problem, but cannot carry a backpack. Does anyone know of a way to have bags/luggage moved along each day without carrying it? We are not interested in an expensive group trip where the tour company takes the bag.

    Thanks

The Camino Frances has a well developed bag service which runs along its whole length. Originally the service was run by local taxi drivers on an ad hoc basis, but now every Albergue has a couple of notices advertising the service which is often run by local courier companies.

Cost varies but averages at €5-€7 per bag per stage On the Camino Portuguese I saw an advert in an Albergue offering a bag service for €1 PER KILOMETER!!

Usually you book to have your bag picked up with the Hospitialiero and they will tell you where to pick it up. Usually they will deliver direct to private albergues, but sometimes if you want it delivered to an official (state owned) Albergue, they will leave the bag at a nearby café.

The only downside with the bag service is that you have to get to where your bag is being dropped. It is best not to be too optimistic about how far you will be walking that day!

I meet someone once who had a similar problem and his backpack was on wheels being pulled along behind him - didn't look that comfortable though. His setup was home made from an old shopping basket - the kind my granny used to have to bring her stuff home from the shops.

    Odd, this.

For I was thinking about making a wheeled rucsac carrier for a friend the other day. Maybe I should get it on and produce something efficient for those who feel they need this.

    Hmm.
