Pigrim office opening times March 28th?

My brother and I will be arriving in St Jean at approx 19.45 on the 28th March.
Will the pilgrim passport office be open ? If not can we still stay in a pilgrim hostel without the passport?
Any advice gratefully accepted.

I don't have the times in front of me, but my dim recollection is that the pilgrim office closes at 19:00 in the shoulder season months. You'll be able to stay at an albergue in SJPP without a credencial and get your credencial from the pilgrim office in the morning. You could contact L'Espirit du Chemin (a popular private albergue in SJPP) for confirmation and to make a reservation for your overnight.
