Camino Frances, Cheap Flights For April???

Hi, Try Easyjet to Bilbao. We are using them at the end of August to the end of September and it is £75 only including a bag - cheap cheap! We fly from Manchester so you could too as you are near. I could not believe how cheap it is. We looked into the ferry from Portsmouth but it would take so long and so inconvenient. Have a good camino!

Hi Cropseeker,

I do not know of flight charges from the UK but with regard to the weather, you will have to plan for all sorts. It will be wet and cold to start but it starts to warm up considerably in early May. Mud can be a problem if it rains a lot and there is no easy way through it. If it is very muddy, limit your walking distances, otherwise you can do some serious damage to tendons.

Hi, Yes, we will travel back from Santiago to Bilbao by train - I have researched this and it seems it takes 10.5 hours! A train leaves Santiago at 9.25 am and arrives at Bilbao at 8.03 pm so it will be a long day - probably spent sleeping and eating!! This should work well for us.

I did something similar once getting the train from Santiago back to Pamplona, train was comfortable.
