The Camino Frances in four parts.
Hi all,
I'm new to the site so if this is covered else where please let me know.
I would love to do the Camino Frances in one go but I have two small children that I couldn't and wouldn't leave for that long. My husband and I were thinking that the solution might be to take a week each year for four years and try and complete it that way. I'm looking for suggestions on how to break the route into four parts and how to access these routes from airports. We'll be travelling from Dublin.
Thank you for any help.

Re: The Camino Frances in four parts.
Sounds like a great plan. You'll find it sad to leave your camino friends each year, but you'll have a blast on your walks. You can use this camino planner to identify your stages: http://www.godesalco.com/plan/frances It seems it'd be a little easier to break the Camino Frances into three stages than four. Basically you'd start at St Jean PdP and end at Burgos in one setting; walk Burgos to Leon in the next; and walk Leon to Santiago in the final push. Burgos and Leon are the largest cities on the Camino and hence easiest for transportation. If you walk in four sessions you'll likely find yourself going through these cities for transfers anyway. If you need additional help after reviewing the planner, please let us know. Buen caminos!

Re: The Camino Frances in four parts.
Hi HuskyNerd,
Thank you so much for your reply, it's great to have a starting point for researching our trip which is half the fun. I'm sure there'll be lots more questions before we get going
thanks again.

Re: The Camino Frances in four parts.
Or, you could take the children with you.
From YOUR CAMINO
The number ofchildren on the Camino is growing. More and more young families and individualsare doing the Camino together with their children. Unfortunately, there are no up to datestatistics on babies or very young children but these stats for children from 0to 12 years are from 2006 to 2009:
2006 – 930
2007 – 1 070
2008 – 1 093
2009 – 1 272
