Santiago to Paris
Just spent an hour online trying to find a flight from Santiago to Paris on May 26th. Tried Easy Jet, Ryan Air and Vueling but doesn't look like they have anything. Then tried rail tickets and still couldn't find anything. Does anybody know how I can get from Santiago to Paris when I finish the Camino?

Re: Santiago to Paris
That day is not so good. If you can change your date to the following monday you have this Cheap flights from Santiago de Compostela to Paris at Skyscanner
By train you will need two different ones. First either bus or train to Pamplona and than direct train to Paris. About two days travel, so waiting in Santiago and getting the above flight may be better.

Re: Santiago to Paris
Oh, boy. I'll have to check the fees involved in changing our Paris to Vancouver flight. I thought Ryan Air had regular flights from Santiago to Paris. Do you know if there's a bus? I've checked everything I can think of. A change in our flight home from Paris changes so many other things - even more time off from school for our grandson (Ha! Throw him in the briar patch!), dogsitter anxious to get back home, etc.
Thanks for checking this, Leslie.

Re: Santiago to Paris
There are two myths about Ryanair. 1. That they offer cheap flights and 2. the flights might go to the main airports listed for a city.
The fares shown for Ryanair usually start out low, but by the time you have added airport taxes, booking fees, credit card fees, luggage fees, boarding fees etc, you will end up paying a lot more than the price you started out with!!

Paris Beauvais airport is 75kms NORTH of Paris!! so it is a 1hr 30 minutes bus ride in to a Paris car park
Quite often it is actually cheaper to fly on a scheduled airline and actually end up at the normal airport for the city!!

Hi, Larry:
I haven't been able to find that flight yet. I've checked Kayak.com and Ryanair doesn't come up for Sant-Paris route. I'll keep checking. Where did you see that news? Do you have a URL for that site?

Re: Santiago to Paris
Hi, Covey:
I laughed at the YouTube clips, then I booked an Easy Jet fligh from Paris to Biarritz and a Vueling flight from Santiago to Paris (Orly). Extra costs for everything - even the payment on VISA!
Thanks for the warning, but the choices are limited.
A couple of questions: We arrive in Biarritz at about 8 pm (Apr. 18) and leave at 8:10 the next morning from Bayonne to SJPP. Biarritz and Bayonne look really close on the map. Should we just take a taxi? If we stay in Bayonne overnight, should we book ahead because we are arriving so late?
Thanks for all your great advice on this forum.

Re: Santiago to Paris
Hi, If all else fails and you really need to get to Paris have you thought about flying from Santiago to Madrid and then a second flight from Madrid to Paris, or at least something similar that is 2 separate flights, it might be expensive but it's something to think about.

Re: Santiago to Paris
Hi, BH
Thanks. We ended up booking with Vueling and it is two flights: Santiago to Barcelona, then Barcelona to Paris. Yes, expensive and with lots and lots of add-ons. At least we are now booked for the entire journey (except the train from Bayonne to SJPP). Now I can concentrate on the Camino itself.

Re: Santiago to Paris
Hi again, yes, as soon as I posted my reply I saw that you'd already made your travel plans, oh well, maybe it will help someone else at some point. This is kind of what I had to do when I finished walking, I met some Germans on the Camino and they invited me to come visit them, I already had a ticket back to Madrid, I initially tried to change it but I couldn't get anything to work for me similar to your situation so I just flew to Madrid then on to Germany.
