It took me about 30/31 days and that for me included rest days and one day in hospital - not walking related - hernia discovered while walking due to the pain.
I must admit except in Leon and Santiago I did little sightseeing - I really did not want to walk back at any time.
Some days, 1 or 2, I would walk half the distance and check into a pension - that rejuvenated me.
Why do I keep walking when driving is faster?

I've just finished reading Jim's journal, an excellent read. He also had a couple of easy days. I can't wait to get started. I have decided to start from SJPP; I think I would regret it afterwards if I didn't walk over the mountain.
It is a tough first day, esp at that point most people are carrying too much in their rucksack - however it is a great day with wonder views.
Best of luck, and enjoy.
