    Default October 2008?

    Hello,

I am rather new to this site however I have long yearned to way the road to Santiago and I am planning to go this October!

I am planning to walk from Leon to Santiago. Could any please give me adivice as I am slightly nervous about enbarking on the wonderful adventure myself.

Is it safe? What will the weather be? How should I mentally prepare? Is it safe for me to do alone? Will I see others walk the camino? Anyone else doing it!

Sorry for the questions, but I have not done something like this before and am in need of some words of experience!

    Many thanks

    Default Maybe I can help

Lou: I was at a workshop here in North Bay on Monday where Sue Kenney, the author of My Camino and Las Peregrinas, spoke about what it meant to walk such a pilgrimage. Perhaps if you borrow either of the above items from a library you might have a closer idea of what to expect. Either that, or throw caution to wind and embark on this journey with all your fears intact and watch them fade over the journey. I would be curious to hear of your journey when you return. Myself, it will either be in May or September of 2009.
