    Default Accomodation

Is is possible to walk from Roncesvalles to Santiago de Compostela staying each night in hotels or albergues that have private double rooms? My husband is a loud snorer and is worried he will keep others awake. Thanks.

That is certainly a kind gesture on your part. But then you would miss out on an important part, at least for many, of the Camino experience. To answer your question, it probably would be possible, certainly for most of the nights anyway, to sleep in hostals or small hotels.

Consider some new advances to help snorers that are appearing on television recently- strips above the nose so as to keep the passageways open and a spray to help the throat in some way to alleviate snoring. I know at least one person that seems to use the strips effectively.

    Hi Debbie,

Welcomw to the forum. You will be able to stay in some hostels in double rooms - though that is uncommon.

Most small towns will have pensions - basic B&B's, but generally very clean.

Let's know how you get on.

On our trip we stayed in private albergues. We were a group of 7 with the occasional snorer but believe me, you are so tired you don't hear a thing! The albergues we stayed in were sometimes a room with 4 beds and sometimes with 6 beds. They do vary but we enjoyed each one and also enjoyed meeting other hikers in the common rooms or around the wash tubs.
