Sep Camino
Hello, I am looking for a travel companion for my friend Michelle who is planning to walk the Camino Frances. She does not have a computer so I am helping out. Her plan is to start from St. Jean de Port to Santiago de Compostela.
If you are doing the same either the 1st or 2nd week of September 2008...please contact me.
We live in Kelowna, B.C. Canada. Michelle speaks fluent French.
Hope to hear from someone.

Sorry that I can't help you regarding the September camino. We have a group of 6 from around the country who will be making the walk beginning in June 08. I will be happy to pass on any current information that we gather on the journey. Maybe the information might be helpful in your planning for the September camino. Best wishes for your planning and camino.
Peace,
Michael

Thank you
Dear Michael,
Thank you for passing on any information you can. It would have been nice to be part of your group but the dates do not coincide. If there is anything Michelle should know about the trip please pass it on.
I will be in Italy in June but will check my mail when I can. Grazie e buon viaggio.

Aloha Renata!
Currently, there are three of us scheduled to begin our hike somewhere around 15 Sep. At this point that is about the extent of my knowledge. We'll have to stay in touch and maybe we'll meet up in the beginning or along the way. So looking forward to this next Grand Adventure!
Aloha! Ann

Sep 15th
Aloha! We'll keep in touch. Never any telling what may happen. The three gals that are planning on hiking this are all addicted long distance hikers that have never actually hiked together. Well, the other two may have. We're all quite independent hikers so will take this all one day ata a time.... one hostel at a time! There's nothing formally scheduled at this point other than we're all going. I've picked Sep 15th out of the air based on that Hammockhanger and I discussed taking 6 weeks to do the hike then join our partner/spouse in France for a 12 day river cruise from Nice to Paris at the end of October. Other than that rough draft there's just no telling where we'll be, what will happen or when. Gotta love long distance hiking!
Keep in touch!
Aloha! Ann

Aloha! Try http://avalonwaterways.com. It's for 12 days beginning with one night in Nice and then transferred by motorcoach to Arles, the capital of the Provence region, where the ship is docked. The trip includes sightseeing with local guides in Arles, Avignon, Lyon, walks in Tournon & Macon. We'll be crusing northward up the Rhone and Saone Rivers with time to check out the villages and taste the wines and cuisines of the region. Yum! WE et off in Chalonsur-Saone and make a stop in Beaune (Burgundy region) before spending 2 days in Paris.
We're definitely looking forward to it. Nice way to end a Grand Adventure we think. It also includes the partners/spouses which makes for making the next looooooooooong walk easier for them to take!
Aloha!
