Hey Covey,
Thanks for the response to my last post about the passport. I'm actually arriving around the same time as you. I get into Pamplona at 7:45am on the 2nd and then will be heading to St.Jean hopefully, still need to work out the details for getting to St.Jean though. Are you coming from Canada?
Costa.
Buen Camino Covey and costaki, enjoy.
No, I'm coming in from Stansted in the UK as I live in London.
This time of the year there are quite a lot of pilgrims who come in via Pamplona. Some start from there and others catch a taxi to St Jean, but the taxi option ain't cheap if you are on your own. If you can split it 3-4 ways it is OK, but I have heard that you will pay ?80 from Pamplona to St Jean.
There is a bus service to Roncesvalles from Pamplona, but as it is a local bus service they don't bother with web sites. You can either start from Roncesvalles or get a taxi from Roncesvalles to St Jean which is around ?40. The bus fare from Pamplona to Roncesvalles will not be more than ?9-10 and the bus will go from Pamplona bus station and not the airport. According to one web site the airport bus goes to central Pamplona (the bus station) every 30 minutes and costs ?1, but I would not take that as gospel.
