    Default Preparation in August

Can one find a place to crash and clean up failry easily? I understand there are plenty of places to stay along this route, but what about in August? Will they let people fill up floor space if someone arrives unable to take another step and it is full. Do they fill up quickly in August? Is it imperative one carries a sleeping mat along with a sleeping sheet? I don't want to carry anything I don't need.

I found my sleeping mat handy for sleeping on during the day under a tree sometimes - apart from that never used it - but it was very light.

Re staying in the hostels - they will normally fit everyone in even if people end up on the floor. I have walked twice during August and didn't have any problems.
