Hello Walkmag
I don't know about "best methods" but I'm flying into CDG Paris early one morning then connecting with an Easyjet (Cheap flights - Find and book cheap flights on easyJet.com) flight from CDG to Lisbon a couple of hours later.
I plan to stay a couple of nights in Lisbon and then train (CP Passageiros :: CP :: (Vers) up to Porto. It seems there's no need to book the train trip.
I'm walking Porto-Santiago beginning 14 September so we'll probably just miss one another.

Ok great thanks
most cheap flights leave from Orly so thats handy to know cheers..
I will start walking probably on the Sunday 12th.
cant wait am breaking the shoes in now.

Me again. I just checked and it looks like Easyjet fly direct from CDG in Paris to Porto each day. Check their website for specific details - actual flight times seem to vary.
Cheers Porto hat is even better...have you ever flown with EasyJet ?
I think I have been watching too many reality Airport shows on TV, lots of passengers seemed to get bumped off flights...etc.,

No, I'd never heard of Easyjet until I started plannning this trip.
I've booked return flights Melbourne-Paris-Melbourne with Malayasia Airlines (should be safe enough there)
Booked Paris to Lisbon with Easyjet
No need to book train Lisbon to Porto (?)
Booked Santiago to Paris with Vueling Airlines (who????)
No accommodation booked anywhere yet. I'll probably book something in Lisbon, Porto & Paris as the trip gets closer but then maybe not. All part of the adventure.
I've got a couple of days in Lisbon, a couple of days in Porto and a few days in Paris up my sleeve so if my schedule's fairly flexible. So long as I get on the flight back toMelbourne I'll be happy enough.
As for passengers being bumped off flights, you could end up on French reality TV!! Practise your growing hysteria culminating in tearful meltdown
