    Default Rucksack on ryan air.

    Hi all,
I will be attempting my first camino in may. I was wondering if anyone has had any
problems with ryan air re rucksacks as carry on luggage. Thanks

It depends on how big your pack is!! Ryanair, Easyjet and a few other airlines tend to be quite strict when dealing with the maximum size and weight restrictions, so yours would have to be a small pack.

Ryanair and Easyjet do not allow the metal telescopic walking poles in the cabin, and of course you cannot take a knife or scissors in the cabin. I use both Ryanair and Easyjet to get to and from the Camino and find it easier to book my pack as hold luggage so then I can leave my poles, knives etc in my pack.

I have flown to the camino on three separate occasions with Ryanair from Dublin. I take a 35 litre backpack which is within the Ryanair dimensions, 55cm * 40cm * 20cm, and under the 10kg. weight limit (usually 6kg. ) No poles, knives, scissors. Never had any problems.
