Camino Portugues mid-November - any advice, esp availability of hostels?
Hello all,
Hope you are well.
Mid-November, we are starting a nine day pilgrimage via the Portuguese route, starting at Tui. If you could offer us any advice on the following, it would be greatly appreciated:
- Are many hostels open on this route at this time?
- Do you have advice or tips for this route/undertaking the pilgrimage in November.
Many thanks and God bless,
James and Andrea

The Official Albergues will be open when you go.
November is likley to be cold and wet in Galecia!!

I did this route from Porto in November last year. All albergues were open. One or two had no blankets. I forget which.
The Portugese section was the most pleasant and the people were great. Take a poncho. Wear shorts under the poncho if it rains for otherwise the rain just flows onto your trouserlegs. Soggy stuff.
The sections coming into SDC weren't so lovely - but nobody said all would be beautiful.
Buen camino!
A fine walk.
