Default River between Seville and Guillena

    Hi

I just heard from a friend of mine who's walking the Via at the moment. He say the ford over the river about 5km before Guillena is unpassable because the river is a "ranging torrent".

You can avoid this by walking a couple of km to the left and crossing the river on a road bridge.

HI, we left Sevilla on March 0th 2009.
We had the same problem as your friend. We were advised and we followed the recomendation to take N630 untill the crossroads leading to Guillena.
No prblm as the trafic is really light due to the presence of the motorway that is taking most of the trafic.
On our site : - Saint Jacques (tab Via de la Plata/Sevilla-Guillena) you will see photos taken from the highways showing the stream that was, at that time, impassable.
