Default Roscoff > Santiago in Spring 2011

    Hi there
I live in Devon in the UK. I am thinking of cycling the Camino from Roscoff in April/May 2011.

Is there anybody out there who has done this route who may have advice or who may might like to consider joining me?

As french campsites are unreliable until may i shall be peddling across from caen to Vezelay, thence down on the Vezelay route.
If we know each others approximate timetables we may cross paths, but I'm older than your grandfather,so that may not be very interesting for you1

My plans are at a very early stage at the moment, as soon as they are better formulated I will be back in touch.

The current outline is in April 2011 I plan to cycle from my home in Exeter to Plymouth, catch a ferry to Roscoff in northern Brittany then cycle the 600 miles or so down the west coast of France, taking maybe 10 days. It's the Pyrenees next, where no doubt my pace will slow considerably! This is where the pain will be - about 500 miles worth! After hopefully completing the trip then I would use the Spanish coach service to take my bike and I to Santander and thence catch the ferry back to Plymouth and cycle from there to Exeter

    Cheers

Default Update on Roscoff > Santiago in Spring 2011

    Robin

I had a very serious accident on my bike in July (on my birthday), this has made me think that a solo ride is probably not for me - so I have cancelled all plans for the Camino in 2011.

    Good luck with yours!

    Regards

    Richard (aka Cholladua)
