    Cool Availability of accomodation

    Hi all,
Getting accomodation has been variable. Up to O'cebreiro (spelt wrong i think) if you didn't get there early, nothing left, some people sleeping out. My Sister and i spent 48 euro for a room there. From there, there are big queus to get into the Albergue Municipals. Many people missing out and paying for private rooms. Casanova and other small albergues full.
    Cheers Tanya

Hi Tanya, does the time of year matter? My wife and I are starting in May from O'Cebreiro. Can we call ahead from one town to the other to book a private room? We are both past 55 yrs. and sleeping out isnot appealing.

If you are starting in May, then you will have no problem finding a bed for the night. If you go in the peak months of June-Sept you will still find a bed if you aim to stop walking at around 2pm. When you hear of the odd Pilgrim who has had problems finding a bed it is usually because they arrived after 5pm!!
