From Barcelona to Ponferrada

Can anyone please tell me the easiest way to get from Barcelona to Ponferrada on Camino Frances and how long this takes?

Barcelona is a long way from Ponferrada, of course, and not that close to anyplace on the Camino Frances. A person could take the train (Renfe) from Barcelona to Madrid, Madrid to Leon, Leon to Ponferrada.

It looks like you could do this in a day -- about 3 hours from Barcelona to Madrid, transfer to the Leon train (make sure to take the express from Leon, the others can take forever) for another 3 hour trip, and on to Ponferrada for another 2 hours. Planning carefully you could do this in a day.
