    Default Starting the Camino

This is the first time we have traveled outside of the US and are concerned with jet lag. My wife and I are flying into Madrid and intend to train or bus to Pamplona and then up to Roncesvalles. Is it reasonable to believe that we will be able to walk the second day off the airplane or should we find a hotel at Roncesvilles and start the next day? If we arrive late to Roncesvalles are we able to stay at the Albergue and then start in the morning?

The albergue at Roncesvalles closes and has lights out at 10pm. There would be no problem walking from Roncesvalles the day after you land as there are many places to stop at and have a short day if you need to. You don't have to walk a certain amount each day to stay in the albergues/ hostels.
