Default Toulouse to St Jean Pied de Port

I'm flying into Toulouse, and need to get to St Jean Pied de Port. From the Toulouse Airport website, it appears that most people rent cars. I can't imagine that with all the pilgrims headed to St. Jean Pied de Port, that there isn't a bus or train. Any suggestions on getting there from Toulouse?

    Hi

Renting a car isn't necessary. From Toulouse airport you can get a bus to the railway station and from there there are trains to Bayonne which go via Pau and are faster (and probably cheaper) than the main line which goes through Bordeaux. From Bayonne there are several trains a day to St Jean Pied de Port. Although checking the SNCF website I see that there are only buses running at the moment due to engineering works. The replacement bus leaves from the railway station at the following times:

    Mon 0745
    Tue - Sun 0810
    Mon - Sat 1147 1812
    Everyday 1509
    Fri & Sun 2106

    Hope that helps!
