    Default Temperature on Meseta

What sort of Temperature does the Meseta reach in late June. I get the impression that its really hot, but average temp of Burgos is mid 20'sC.
After the Aussie sun, just wonering if the Meseta isn't as bad as everybody (except Covey) says

Had highs in June 2008 of 85-90F. What makes the temp harder to take is a) the lack of shade, and b) the distance between cold cervesas. Even with those two disadvantages the Meseta is my absolute favorite part of the camino. Don't let the temp scare you away. Take a sun hat, some sunscreen, and enjoy beauty.

In August 2009 it was 35c according to the weather forcast on the Spanish TV, and felt like it. However it is dry heat which is OK but if there was high humidity as well, then we would all be on the bus.

In the summer heat, even the youngsters learn that a skinfull of cold beer is not a sensible preparation for walking in the noon day sun on the Meseta.

Quite correct abt the humidity which is the killer downunder. I don't find the Northern Hemisphere sun/heat anywhere near as bad as the Aussie sun
