Default hoping to walk in september

    Hi there ,

I was wondering if any one could tell me what it is like to walk the camino in September ? Is it still warm in spain at that time ? I have also heard that it is quiet busy this year . Does anybody think that I will have problems with accomodation if I travel this year or has the rush died down a bit ?

    Thanks for reading .

I have walked the Camino Frances twice starting in the first week of September and the weather on both occasions has been excellent with warm sunny weather all the way through to Santiago. You can expect the odd days rain now and again but to date, nothing drastic. Galecia, which is the last 150kms in to Santiago has the habit of having more rainy days, but so far I have been lucky.

As all the schools and Universities go back in the first week of September in Europe, the Camino Frances should be quieter than it has been in July/August.
