Thanks Covey, I know the DIY can wait, I suppose its fear avoidance ! Still procrastinating, even though I found some good deals on flights, I suppose fear of the unknown ?!?!?!?

    Hi Yenrod,
You're just recycled, not old. My Sister and i are both in our sixties and had a great time walking the Camino in july. Due to time restrictions we walked from Leon to Santiago.
My tip is pack the minimum!!.
Several of us offloaded gear and sent it on to santiago. 8kgs doesn't sound much, but once you hit those mountains, ouch. I ended up with around 5 kgs and had no problems. ( I don't count bad knee as a problem). I did feel the cold even mid summer so i bought a fleecy top along the way, as i had forwarded mine.
Take it easy the first few days and stop early if you can.
    Enjoy! Cheers Tanya

I hope not! I will be walking for the first time next summer, when I will turn 60. When and where are you planning to walk? I'm planning on El Camino Frances in May and June of next year.
