    Default Unusual Cross

Did the Camino Frances in july/august and came across an unusual pattern of cross in the early stages especially before Burgos, of course, I failed to take a photo or even sketch since I assumed it was well a known type. Naturally it appears to be not so common at least not on the internet. The cross was the normal pattern except for the top of the central section which was, I believe, hooked over to the left and divided in two. It was very simple and elegant reminiscent of the way the stalk of a flower bends. However I have not been able to find a picture or name for this cross. It is not the normal military cross/sword of Santiago. I would really like to find out more about this cross so any assistance would be gratefully received. The journey was fantastic, an experience to be savoured.

I think you might be referring to the shepherds cross which has a bent over central stake.
