Default St Jame's Gate route out of Ireland to where ?

Has anyone walked from St Jame's gate ? I presume one would then have to walk down through France to join one of the official "routes". Just interested we have booked to fly and start at StJPdeP.

    Hi Una,

afraid there is no route from st James Gate. The traditional route from Ireland would have been by boat...

I have come across someone who decided to walk from St James Gate to Dublin airport. Just can't imagine that would be a good start to any Camino. I live in Dublin and that would never cross my mind.

Though my friend who got me to walk the Camino Frances the first time had walked from Amsterdam to Santiago and he was only a little crazy.

I tried to get my passport stamped at St. James gate a few years ago, but was told the office was only open Mon to Fri when I asked here
