where to stay? accommodations?

Hi pilgrims, My friend is meeting me in Tricastle. where is a 'nice' place to stay
vs. many person hostel? Also, where is nice accommodation in borgos and santiago?

In Burgos we spent a couple of nights in Hotel Abba, about 5 minutes from the town centre & far enough away to give us some piece & quiet. Also it is on the Camino path walking out of Burgos for the beautiful & pieceful Meseta.

In Santiago last year we stayed at a brand new Pensione vey close to the main centre. You actually walk past it on your way to the Cathedral (Pensione is on the right of the alleyway walk) Sorry cannot remember the name, but had lovely little balconies from which you could watch all the happenings on the street below as people entered.

Hi salome, we went in May. In Triacastela we stayed at the Vilasante and in Santiago at the Pico Sacre which is very close to the cathedral. In Melide we tried the albergue but stayed in pensiones and hotels in the other towns. Buen camino.
