So I'm planning a trip to Europe (I live in Canada, currently), mostly to France, to visit sites related to my favourite epic poem, The Song of Roland.

As you know, the battle was fought in Roncevalles on August 15, 778. I've heard that there's a chapel in the town that has relics supposedly relating to Roland. I've also heard that the relics were destroyed during the French Revolution.

What's the deal? Is there anything Roland related left in Roncevalles? Also, are there any monuments or anything commemorating the battle?

I figure if anyone would know, it'd be someone from this forum whose been there. Thanks in advance.
