    Default Shortest way

    Hello,
I'm going for my first Camino with my dad this summer. We have planed our trip and the rest of our family will be staying in Barcelona. As we don't have much time for our vacation we can only complete a route of 100 last km to get our Compostelas. I'm thinking about going by English way. I have few questions:
    1) Any ideas about transportation from Barcelona to Ferrol as i can hardly found any direct routes, only ones with trains/buses etc.?
    2) Is there any route of aprox 100 km distance that people usually travel to get their Compostelas?
    3) Any other short way to recommend which would be easy to reach and good to travel for beginners?
    Thanks in advance. Lukas

    Default Re: Shortest way

The "usual" 100km stage is to start in Sarria and walk to Santiago. Sarria is on the Camino Frances and is around 104kms from Santiago.

The nearest large town to Sarria is Lugo and many pilgrims arrive in Spain at Santiago and then take the bus to Lugo and then another local bus to Sarria. There are lots of albergues on the route between Sarria and Santiago, but because it is "the last 100kms" it can get very busy.
