Pamplona mid Oct 2011 are alberques all open walking out?

Im heading out from Pamplona in Oct 2011 for.a week. As i only have a week off does anyone know if I can get a bus to Bilbao.from the towns six days out from Pamplona?how much walking hours of day light do u have in Oct?bien camino... Babs

Hi Babs --
A good walk for you would be from Pamplona to about Santo Domingo de la Calzada, from which you can catch a bus to Burgos and a train from there to Bilbao.

Early October has nearly 12 hrs of daylight, with sunrise at about 8 a.m. and sunset about 8 p.m. by mid-October it's 11 hrs of daylight, with sunrise at about 8:30 a.m.
