my intent is to walk the camino to raise awareness for multiple sclerosis, i have been living with it for 20 yrs and i need to do something.......considering where im from (southern ontario canada) we have the highest concentration of m.s then anywhere else......so i desperately need to change my situation, plus im a highly trained chef and would love to return to work one day, i do have a friend in southern spain is where im to end up living but i want to do this camino first.......
my problem is that i dont want to do this alone......
any ideas as to how to find companions???

    Hi Charlie ~
Your plan sounds wonderful. As far as being alone, that's something that's pretty rare on the Camino Frances, even for someone who starts alone. Beginning on Day 1 you'll meet other pilgrims who are also looking for pleasant company. Before long you're part of a group of pilgrims whom you learn to care for and love. It's a natural byproduct of the camino, so no need to worry about company. Buen camino!

I agree with HuskeyNerd, I had no idea how many people you meet and how you learn to trust them like family until I actually walked the Camino Frances. I do not think it will be a problem, you meet so many wonderful people from so many different countries. Good luck and Buen Camino!

Your first day you can't help but make friends. The second day you will make even more. By the third day you'll have a family!
