La Via Francigena
Hi everyone : )
After just walking the Camino frances, finishing a few short weeks ago, I have been completely captivated and want to pull those boots on again as soon as possible....and walk....
I was thinking about walking the Portuguese Camino in May 2012 but now after a little research....La Via Francigena..the Italian leg, is looking very enticing!
The problem is, this camino, to date has very few guides it seems and Im finding it difficult to find useful information, where i can at least plan the basics of this walk.
If anyone can help me...with any advice, books etc. etc. I will be most appreciative.
It looks a stunning walk, a lot less traveled than the caminos in Spain, it seems but I think seems to be gaining, quite steadily, in popularity. However, at this stage, there doesn't seem to be any John Brierleys, who have paved the way and made it easier for us: )
Thank you for any help that can be provided!

Re: La Via Francigena
Thankyou so much Sandy! These websites have been very helpful: ) Given me lots of new leads. Very excited with this walk...but need to be a little more prepared I think, as the way will not be as easy to follow as the wonderful Camino Frances. The Camino Frances, on reflection, is a little like the mother of the Caminos... nurturing , guiding, accepting and very supportive: ) I know that when I attempt La Via Francigena, my experience will be very different but I imagine, will be equally sensational...no expectations, however.
