    Default Thanksgiving

    Hello All !

Today is Thanksgiving Day here in the US. The day typically begins with parades throughout the country, which many of us watch on TV. Countless turkeys will be stuffed, baked, fried, and carved as the traditional fare for our Thanksgiving meal. Joining Tom Turkey on the table will be sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, carrots, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, green beans, baked beans, and human beings. (We don't eat the humans, they just gather round.) Pumpkin flavors abound in pies, puddings, and pastries. Prayers are raised, Psalms are sung, libations enjoyed. A well-deserved nap usually follows. Many of us will shake off our somnolence a few hours later to eat yet again. It is truly a day of fun, feasting, and football. (American football … the kind where it is ok to touch the ball with your hands.)

A day to give thanks and celebrate. It is my great pleasure to reflect on the joy, inspiration, and challenge everyone in this forum has given me this past year. Our world is a place torn by divisions that often obstruct my ability to experience the peace of the Camino. I am ever so grateful to each of you for sharing something of yourselves to remind me, push me, and encourage me to live my Camino every day.

    Feliz accion de gracias !

Sounds like Christmas without the presents, happy thanksgiving.

It is a great idea to take a tiny bit of time each day and think about what I am grateful for, however I forget too often and I am the one who suffers from forgetting.
