Default Suggestions for a first time walker???

Hello all, I hope to walk the Santiago de Compostela in October 2012. Anyone have any suggestions for a first timer? Where to fly into and start? What route? Where to stay along the walk? What to bring? What to wear? Is there a website with this kind of information? I know...so many questions, sorry. I live in San Francisco, CA. I lived in Salamanca, Spain this past summer and attended a Spanish Language Immersion school. That is where I first heard of the walk. I am also continuing to learn Spanish at a community College here in SF. Slowly but surely I will learn the language. Thanks in advance to any of that can help me out. Peace and Love

Well that should give you a leg up ! (So to speak.)

Given this, why worry about where you start or go ? You have soooo many advantages !

I might be so bold as to ask why you want to go ? More than just curious ...

It's all good..being bold! I want to walk because of a feeling a spiritual cultural Spanish blood feeling. I lived in Spain to learn my family language. My last name is Carrasco. My family ancestry is from Spain originally. Learning the language and the culture is spiritual for me. Walking the land of my people and being amongst them is why! xoxo Paz Y Amor
