Also from Ireland. We started from St. Jean Pied de Port on September 5th 2011. The first day (to Orisson) was miserably wet. After that not a drop of rain. At times it was uncomfortably hot - up to 40 degrees. We picked September after a lot of consultation as it was generally agreed to be the most stable time of the year weatherwise. We had done 10 stages of it in June 2009, and with the exception of snow, had everything from hail, thunder and lightening to bitterly cold. Friends were there in May 2010, and had snow. Hope this helps.
