    Hi all,

I am leaving England on the 12.03.2008 and will be in St Jean that night, does any know of anybody that will be walking at this time. I will be walking for about 35 days I think maybe a bit less.

About 4 years ago I tried and got about 13-14 days in and slipped and hurt my knee badly and that was that.

i am very much looking forward to returning and I am hoping to finish it this time.

When I went 4 years ago, I meet some great people but it was very cold and snowed a lot and rained even more. I went at the exact same time of year and and I will be following the same route again.

Welcome to the forum jaffa, if you don't get in touch with anyone here I am sure you will met other pilgrims as you walk. And I hope you get better weather this time.

Go for it! Fabulous time of year in which to walk. I would think. Why not? Apparently on the Castilian plains they're having a false spring there at the moment. Accept the weather, anyhow. I envy you. May the spirit of St James go with you!

Yes - from the Association les Amis du Chemin de Saint-Jacques des Pyrenees-Atlantiques at 39, rue de la Citadelle. They can also provide info on local weather conditions and a key to the g?te municipal.
